YOU CAN HELP THEM. \n  \nYou are more likely to encounter someone — friend\, family member\, \nco-worker\, neighbor\, or member of the community — in an emotional or \nmental crisis than someone having a heart attack. Mental Health First Aid \nteaches a five-step action plan to offer initial help to people with the signs \nand symptoms of a mental illness or in a crisis\, and connect them with the \nappropriate professional\, peer\, social\, or self-help care. Anyone can \ntake this Mental Health First Aid course — first \nresponders\, students\, teachers\, leaders of faith communities\, \nhuman resources professionals\, and caring citizens. \n  \nSometimes\, the best first aid is you. \nTake the course\, save a life\, strengthen \nyour community.
